Rectifications & Concrete Repair for Residential, Commercial and Body Corporate properties
To get the best form your coating system, whether it be on a floor, exterior or interior surface, some rectification and repair work may be required.
The team at Eco Coating Systems specialises in identifying and resolving a range of issues as part of our preparation process before starting a job.
Concrete cancer (spalling)
This generally occurs when steel reinforcing or mesh in the concrete structure begins to rust, causing the concrete to expand and separate from the structure. It is particularly common in beachside locations and older buildings or untreated newer buildings.
To repair, the damaged area is cut out, the corroded metal is exposed, treated and encapsulated, with the surface then rectified to original appearance.
Cracks
It is important to address cracks in concrete or cement render because they can lead to water ingress which can damage your building. Our team can identify and repair minor cracking by filling with poly urea or patching with epoxy mortar.
Surface imperfections
Surface imperfections often arise from concrete being poured incorrectly during construction, leading to blowholes which appear as individual, rounded cavities on the surface. These can and should be repaired using an epoxy mortar patch to prevent water ingress. We will also cut another control joint if required.
